<Initiative of University of Yamanashi Gender Equality Office >

 “The Gender Equality Office,” established in January, 2015, pursues to develop a pleasant and efficient working environment for the teaching staffs, as well as a comfortable study environment for students.  The foundation for the Gender Equality Office is based on the activities of the “Support Office for Female Researchers” (active from October, 2012 to December, 2014), which mainly circulated around on-demand support for female researchers facing various life stages. The office worked on ways to take away the vague anxieties that a young female researcher may have towards her future, and the creation of an atmosphere that would make it possible to expand the range of their research activities.  The office also works together with the personnel affairs group regarding the plan of action based on the Act on Advancement of Measures to Support Raising Next-Generation Children.
