“The first Gender Equality Encouragement Award for Academic Research of University of Yamanashi” ceremony was held at Kofu Campus on January 17, 2017.
The award winner for excellence is Professor Katsue Inoue MD, PhD, at the department of clinical and laboratory medicine, Faculty of Medicine. The award winner for encouragement award is Ms. Eri Inoue, doctoral student in Integrated Graduate School of Medicine, Engineering, and Agricultural Sciences.
This award has established in 2016 fiscal year. The purpose of the award is to improve research motivation, develop excellent female researchers that have a key role in academic studies for the future, and promote gender equality by honoring them for their excellent achievements. It consists of two types of awards; for “excellence” and “encouragement”. The selection committee determined each winner out of the candidates that were recommended by each dean, etc.
