University of Yamanashi has established “Gender Equality Encouragement Award for Academic Research of University of Yamanashi”. This award is conducted on the basis of “The University of Yamanashi Dean Declaration of Action for the Advancement and Acceleration of Gender Equality” (established on September 30, 2015) . The purpose of the award is to improve research motivation, to develop excellent female researchers who have a key role in academic studies for the future, and to promote gender equality by honoring them for their excellent achievements. Please look at an intranet bulletin board within the campus in details.
Campus limited Gender equality office will hold the training session of diversity management as the target of the executive to work positively to promote women’s participation and advancement in the workplace and diversity. They request cooperation of “4th gender equality fact-finding survey for scientific and technical specialized position” from Japan Inter-Society Liaison Association Committee for Promoting Equal Participation of Men and Women in Science and Engineering. This survey has conducted to grasp the present situation regarding researchers and engineer on natural sciences. The proposal on the basis of survey findings has been reflected to policy making.
